Six Types of Emails That Can be Sent via Social Chat
- Invitation Emails
- RSVP Confirmation Emails
- RSVP Reminder Emails
- Follow up Emails
- Cart Reminder Emails
- Featured Product Recommendation Emails
1. Invitation Emails
Invitation emails allow customers to RSVP to events. They are a great way to set expectations for attendance and drive traffic to the event.
Note: invitation emails are the only email type which you must manually send – others will be sent automatically at a specified time before or after the event. Learn how to send invitation emails in our knowledge base.
2. RSVP Confirmation
RSVP confirmation emails are sent to customers after they have registered for an event. They can provide a high level overview of the event, and can offer customers a convenient link to access the live event.
3. RSVP Reminder Emails
RSVP reminder emails are sent to customers 24 hours and 1 hour before the event starts. Their purpose is to increase attendance to the live event.
4. Follow up Emails
Follow up emails are sent to customers 1 hour after the live event ends. These emails contain a link that redirects customers to the live event in the case they'd like to revisit the video.
5. Cart Reminder After the Event
Cart reminder emails contain products from the live event, which Social Chat has determined is of interest to the customer. Any customer who has indicated interest in a product, including adding a product to cart or liking a product will receive an email. Cart Reminder Emails serve to increase conversion rate of post-live events.
6. Featured Product Recommendation Emails
Customers who are logged in and view a live event or a recorded video can be sent a product recommendation email for top-converting products from the event they viewed. This email is sent out between 2 to 3 days after the customer views the event in question, and is aimed at engaging customers who have not otherwise converted to buyers.
